Aprilaire Humidifiers
Aprilaire humidifiers can be the solution when it comes to protecting your family unit as well as your dwelling from the damaging and unhealthy effects that air that is overly dry brings.
Does any of the following sound familiar to you?
- Dry nose
- Itchy cracked skin
- Sore throat(s)
- Aggravation of allergy and asthma
- Static shocks
- Splitting wood floors or furniture
That is just the list of some of the things that can happen with dry and overly dry air in a household. There is no need to continue going through these things when you have the option of home humidification with an Aprilaire humidifier.
What happens in the winter time is when we get cold we start to turn up the temperatures in order to stay warm but the thing is that it won’t increase the humidity level in the home. The daily activities that we do with water like the showering and cooking as well as laundry don’t come close to producing enough moisture to keep the air in the home from becoming too dry.
The thing with low humidity is that viruses will thrive in this in this climate increasing the likelihood for catching colds, flu or other upper respiratory ailments.
Whole Home humidifiers
Getting your whole home humidifier from Aprilaire will ensure that you’re getting that ideal quantity of humidity delivered into the air making you have a more comfortable feeling at home and even being able to leave the thermostat a little lower.
The Way It Works
When you have the Aprilaire unit installed directly into your home it is done so to your existing (or new) heating and cooling unit. What happens is that the humidity is put into the air of your home through the form of water vapor. The water vapor is responsible for preventing mineral deposits from entering the airflow in the home and thus avoiding entering into you and your family’s lungs. Water goes to the distribution tray and then is distributed through the house through the ductwork.
Why Aprilaire?
The whole house humidifier units were introduced by Aprilaire for the first time in 1954 and as the first evaporative humidifier with a flow through design. Since the inception of this humidifier type there have been many people that have tried to imitate, but have never been able to duplicate, this humidifier.
Whole Home versus Portable Humidification
The one thing to keep in mind is that why we talked about not enough humidity is bad for a home and health too much humidity can be just as bad. If you’re thinking of a portable unit you should realize that the whole home humidifier will continually monitor the humidity levels in your home so you are sure that you’re getting the right amounts of moisture and this is something that you simply don’t get with a portable unit.
The Aprilaire unites don’t require that constant cleaning and disinfecting that most all of the portable units are going to require. With the whole home humidifiers you are sure that you’re not running the risks of microbial organism growth that you get with standing water.
